CS Sparks is an initiative which aims to encourage traditionally under-represented students to consider Computer Science (CS) as their degree of choice by bringing secondary school students into the academic environment to participate in coding in a fun and exciting way. The initiative highlights the value of CS as a career with diverse applications and a broad potential for positive societal impact. The students are introduced to the broader university environment through touring the campus, speaking with students, and connecting with peers from other schools. These experiences help to demystify university life and aim to inspire students to continue their education beyond secondary school.
